Forge Biologics is seeking a Scientist II, Quality Control in Columbus, OH to lead hands-on analytical testing of AAV-based gene therapies, ensuring strict cGMP compliance and mentoring QC staff.

You will advance method development, validation, and method transfers, review GMP documentation, and support inspections and internal audits while driving continuous QC improvements. Join a mission-driven team delivering life-changing therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in biology, biochemistry, or related field with leadership experience.
• Advanced molecular biology techniques and analytical methods (qPCR, ELISA).
• Experience leading QC teams and handling GMP documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, release, and stability testing for AAV-based products.
• Lead analytical QC assays including qPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and HPLC.
• Oversee SME activities and troubleshoot processes/assays.
• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods to QC.
• Review GMP docs and support audits.
• Drive continuous improvement of QC processes.
