Meet Life Sciences Ltd. in the United States is seeking an Associate Scientist II to support protein purification and chromatography process development within a Research organization, on a 12-month contract focused on vaccine antigen development.

The role requires hands-on experience with IMAC, IEX, HIC, SEC and hydroxyapatite, plus design of experiments, data handling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong AKTA FPLC skills are essential to optimize purification strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years industry experience or Master's with 1+ year experience.
• Hands-on experience with IMAC, IEX, HIC, SEC and hydroxyapatite chromatography.
• Strong experience with AKTA FPLC systems and DoE approaches.

Responsibilities

• Perform IMAC, IEX, HIC, SEC, and hydroxyapatite chromatography techniques.
• Design chromatography trains using complementary modalities to reduce impurities.
• Support chromatography selection, screening, development, scale-up, and characterization activities.
• Utilize membrane chromatography for high-throughput contaminant removal and virus/VLP processing.
• Support multimodal chromatography optimization and process development activities.
• Apply Design of Experiments (DoE) approaches to chromatography development and optimization.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of experiments in an electronic notebook.
• Analyze experimental data and present findings to the Research team.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional team members to support research initiatives.
• Provide additional technical and experimental support as needed.
