Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Associate Scientist 1 in Richmond, CA to support diagnostic and QA/QC activities. The role involves handling samples containing biological threat agents, performing DNA extraction and real-time PCR, and ensuring compliance with GLP and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Handle, receipt, and processing of samples potentially containing biological threat agents.
Perform DNA extraction and real-time PCR to identify pathogens.
Maintain chain-of-custody (CoC) and prepare technical reports.
Decontaminate workspaces and maintain laboratory safety practices.
Perform routine equipment calibration and data entry in lab systems.
