Job summary

BioPhase is seeking an Associate Scientist I to support antibody discovery, engineering, and characterization across a preclinical biologics pipeline. The role involves hands-on experiments in mammalian cell culture, high-throughput screening, and developability assessments using flow cytometry and biophysical assays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant industry laboratory experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-line generation
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry and analysis software (FlowJo/OMIQ)
  • Experience with high-throughput assay workflows and automated liquid handling
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Benchling/GraphPad/Spotfire)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support antibody discovery, engineering, and characterization through cell-based assays and developability tests
  • Execute, optimize, and troubleshoot high-throughput workflows and automated liquid handling
  • Culture mammalian cells and assist with transient and stable cell-line generation
  • Perform antibody screening assays including binding, competition, and reporter readouts
  • Analyze and clearly communicate experimental data to cross-functional teams
  • Develop data analysis and reporting workflows using scripting and informatics tools
  • Maintain rigorous data integrity, sample traceability, and lab safety practices
  • Assist with instrument maintenance and inventory management
