Job summary

Terray Therapeutics is seeking an organic chemist (Associate or Senior Associate Scientist) to perform solid- and solution-phase synthesis in a high-throughput setting. You will contribute to Terray's immunology-focused pipeline and work under the Resynthesis Manager on a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes meticulous experimental documentation, integration with automation, and alignment with fast-paced project timelines to drive drug discovery.

Qualifications

• Master's in chemistry or related field with 3–5 years industrial experience.
• Bachelor's with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience with solution/solid-phase synthesis and DNA-encoded libraries.
• Experience with high-throughput organic synthesis and datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and safety standards to perform high-throughput resynthesis with automation.
• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to meet synthesis schedules.
• Partner with R&D to adapt and screen high-throughput synthesis conditions.
• Execute frequent compound handoffs and explore alternative routes for multi-step compounds.
• Document experimentation, notebooks, synthesis metadata, and final purified compounds.
