Job summary

Terray Therapeutics in Monrovia, CA is seeking an Associate Scientist or Senior Associate Scientist to join the Resynthesis chemistry team. You will perform solid- and solution-phase organic synthesis in high-throughput formats and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary colleagues to advance Terray’s drug discovery platform.

You will document experiments thoroughly, follow safety SOPs, and help optimize synthesis conditions with automation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Experience with high-throughput organic synthesis and datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced team environments.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Following SOPs and safety standards to conduct high-throughput resynthesis with automation.
• Collaborating with upstream and downstream stakeholders to align synthesis schedules.
• Partnering with R&D to adapt and screen high-throughput synthesis conditions.
• Executing frequent compound handoffs and follow-up experiments for multi-step compounds.
• Documenting experimentation with notebooks, synthesis metadata, and final compounds.
