Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of scientific experience.
• Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of scientific experience.
• High School Diploma with 5+ years of scientific laboratory experience.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with NGS platforms and assays.
• Hands-on experience with DNA and RNA extraction from diverse sample types.
• Ability to learn new techniques quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve scientific problems.
• Strong organizational skills and efficiency in task management.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with LIMS systems and electronic lab notebooks such as Benchling.

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare DNA and RNA from a variety of biological samples.
• Prepare DNA, RNA, and ATAC-seq libraries from bulk and/or single-cell samples for NGS sequencing.
• Perform quality control on biological samples and sequencing libraries.
• Troubleshoot experimental procedures and optimize library preparation and sequencing protocols under supervision.
• Conduct Next Generation Sequencing experiments on Illumina platforms and other sequencing technologies.
• Perform qPCR for library quality assessment.
• Stay current with advancements in genomics technologies and develop expertise in NGS applications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
• Present scientific findings clearly in team meetings and collaborative discussions.
