Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support Analytical group in new product development, formulations, and early-stage clinical studies.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC/UPLC, FTIR, Dissolution, UV-Vis) to test potency and purity of drug substances/products.
• Perform routine sample testing and generate/analyze data to support project goals.
• Contribute to experimental design, troubleshooting, optimization, and method development/validation.
• Document experiments and maintain lab records; prepare technical reports.
• Keep lab safe and organized; perform equipment calibration/maintenance and order supplies.
• Communicate results to the team and ensure GLP compliance and safety.

Job Title: Associate Scientist, Analytical

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $26.59 - $33.22 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Temporary, 6 months (possible extension or conversion)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday, onsite

Job Summary

• Support the Analytical group in new product development, formulations, and early-stage clinical studies under the supervision of a lead scientist
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC/UPLC, FTIR, Dissolution, UV-Vis) to test the potency, purity, and in-vitro performance of drug substance and drug product
• Perform routine sample testing, then generate and analyze data that supports project goals
• Contribute to experimental design, troubleshooting, optimization, and analytical method development and validation
• Document experiments, maintain accurate lab records following good documentation practices, and prepare technical reports
• Help keep the lab safe, organized, and running, including equipment calibration/maintenance and ordering supplies
• Communicate results to the team and ensure GLP compliance and adherence to safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
• 1-2 years of analytical laboratory experience, including hands-on HPLC operation
• Hands-on knowledge of chemical analysis principles and chromatographic theory and technologies
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to analyze data and implement solutions
• Ability to multitask across projects and disciplines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort working in a team
