26North is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Associate to join our Business Development team in New York, providing dedicated sales support to the firm’s insurance capital formation efforts. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in capital formation at a rapidly growing organization.

You will work closely with senior capital raisers covering the insurance ecosystem, including life, P&C, health, reinsurers, and insurance-affiliated asset managers in North America. By keeping the pipeline current, building investor materials, and coordinating across the firm, you will allow capital raisers to focus on client relationships and new capital.

Responsibilities
  • Track insurance leads, prospects, and fundraising opportunities in the firm’s CRM, keeping contact records, meeting notes, and next steps accurate and current
  • Support systematic prospecting by building targeted lists of CIOs, portfolio managers, investment teams, and insurance-dedicated allocators
  • Produce regular pipeline and activity reports for insurance capital formation leadership, tracking progress against fundraising targets, re-ups, and sales plans
  • Build and tailor pitch decks, one-pagers, and presentations for insurance investors across 26North’s strategies and vehicles, such as SMAs and rated note feeders
  • Route marketing materials and sales literature through legal and compliance review, and maintain an organized library of approved content
  • Work with the product and investor relations teams on RFPs, DDQs, and data requests, including the materials required by insurance investment committees
Meeting Preparation & Client Follow-Up
  • Prepare capital raisers for insurance investor meetings with briefing books, insurer research, and relationship histories, and handle scheduling, calendars, and travel logistics
  • Capture meeting notes and action items, and drive timely client follow-up, including drafting correspondence and sending requested materials
  • Manage the handoff of newly committed investors to the investor relations team to support a seamless onboarding experience
Coordination & Platform Support
  • Coordinate the sales elements of insurance industry conferences and firm events, including materials, logistics, and follow-up
  • Partner across investment, product, investor relations, legal, and compliance teams, and support research on insurance market trends, competitors, and NAIC developments
Qualifications
Experience
  • 2–4 years of sales, sales support, or business development experience in alternative investments at an asset manager or placement agent
  • Experience as an internal wholesaler or in a comparable sales desk role, supporting external wholesalers or senior capital raisers, is highly relevant
  • Experience covering or supporting insurance investors, or working with insurance general accounts, reinsurers, or insurance-affiliated asset managers, is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and deadlines at once
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with experience building polished, investor-ready presentations
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and strong data discipline
  • Familiarity with insurance investment dynamics, such as capital charges, ratings, and NAIC considerations, or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a responsive, client-service mindset and a strong sense of urgency
  • Proactive self-starter who anticipates the needs of senior team members and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong track record and demonstrated commitment to upholding our core values of stewardship, integrity, excellence, teamwork, and respect
