Position Summary

As an IMS Associate Sales Representative at STERIS, you are responsible for increasing sales in the assigned territory and Region, including coordination and execution of clinical and service-related activities while supporting the local Sales Team. You will be working closely with an assigned Account Manager and tasked with growing the Instrument Management Services (IMS) portfolio in the territory.

This is a remote-based customer-facing position. To support and service our Customers in this territory, candidates must be based out of California, specifically the East Bay area.

What You Will Do As An Associate Sales Representative

• Use initiative to originate, promote, and close sales.
• Assume primary responsibility for the assigned sales territory.
• Promote supportive, quality customer relations by identifying internal customers, acknowledging customers promptly, and using professional behavior.
• Deliver effective and uncompromising customer service in the territory and region.
• Coordinate all daily activities with the local Sales Team to ensure effective customer service. When working in non-local territories, coordinate with the Regional Sales Director.
• Prepare service history reports, cost savings analysis, and other relevant reports for review with peers periodically.
• Coordinate and conduct preventative maintenance services for customers with the local Sales Team.
• Update process improvement programs for select customers within the assigned territory.
• Coordinate site visits and workshops for customer attendance and technical staff.
• Facilitate and maintain all territory billing functions, including billing submissions, unbilled revenue, and uncollected revenue.

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 1 year of sales experience
• Ability to comply with hospital/customer credentialing requirements

Pay range: $50,000 - $50,000, with eligible commissions and on-target earnings of $90,000. Pay rates are based on various factors including experience, education, and location.
