Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking an Associate Revenue Cycle Analyst to join its finance team.

Based in Pennsylvania, you will assess current revenue cycle processes and collaborate with registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials teams to streamline operations and improve cash flow. The role supports more senior analysts, creates basic reports, documents workflows, and contributes to training efforts.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience and a relevant college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you’ll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Associate Revenue Cycle Analysts support more senior team members performing system maintenance, create reports through basic queries, support issue triage and resolution, and document processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with more senior analysts and management to implement process improvements and streamline operations
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of revenue cycle management software and tools based on end user requests
  • Generate basic reports related to revenue cycle metrics, such as claim denials, write-offs, and payment delays, and assist in analyzing trends
  • Document processes and workflows related to revenue cycle activities for internal reference and training purposes
  • Performs all other duties as assigned/required
Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge:
  • An Associate Revenue Cycle Analyst should have 0-3 years of experience and a relevant college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar. Knowledge of Revenue Cycle operations is preferred.
  • A qualified candidate should have strong professional written and verbal communication skills, proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Travel Requirements: Up to 15% domestic travel dependent on business need.
