Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to optimize revenue cycles from intake to collections in our Riverside region offices. You will analyze revenue against expenses, review billing practices, and forecast trends to improve financial performance.

This onsite role requires collaboration with credentialing and payer partners. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting or revenue cycle, proficiency in Epic Practice Management, Excel, and PowerPoint, and at

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of revenue cycle or business office experience in clinical setting.
  • Experience with Epic Practice Management software favored.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue and expenses to optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and implement improved revenue cycle processes from intake to collections.
  • Review billing practices to ensure accurate revenue recognition and invoicing.
  • Prepare for financial audits by ensuring compliance in revenue reporting.
  • Create spreadsheets with pivots and PowerPoints for internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze revenue data, prepare forecasts, and perform trend analysis.
  • Address payer queries to prevent payment delays.
  • Present revenue cycle reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements; coordinate with credentialing to ensure data for payers and locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Responsible for optimizing businesses' revenue cycles from account creation to payment. Analize incoming revenue against expenses, review billing practices, and perform revenue forecast analyses. This position is onsite Monday - Friday.

  1. Analyze incoming revenue and measuring income against expenses.
  2. Develop and implement improved revenue cycle processes and procedures from intake to collections.
  3. Review billing practices to guarantee accurate revenue recognition and invoicing.
  4. Prepare for financial audits by ensuring procedural compliance in revenue reporting and collection.
  5. Buildingspreadsheets with pivots and PowerPoints to share with internal partners/departments
  6. Analyze revenue cycle data, preparing revenue forecasts, and performing trend analysis.
  7. Prevent payment delays by handling account queries and complaints in a timely manner.
  8. Present revenue cycle reports and forecasts, as well as identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
  9. Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in revenue cycle management. with the provider credentialing department to ensure data is accurate for new payers and new locations and to resolve credentialing data impacting claim processing.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educations and Experience: Associate’sdegree in accounting or related field.Bachelor’s degree(BA/BS)preferred.Minimum(2)twoyears’ experiencein a clinical(Fee for Service)or HMO/PrepaidRevenue Cycle/Business Office environment.EpicPractice Management SoftwareExperience Preferred,Intermediate/Advanced experience withMicrosoftprograms (Excel & PowerPoint) Preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: Certification on medical procedural coding or equivalent work experience.
