Brown and Caldwell seeks an Associate Remediation Engineer to support environmental remediation and regulatory compliance projects in New Jersey. The role blends field assignments—site inspections, sampling, system O&M, and construction oversight—with office tasks like report/drawing production, permits, data management, and contractor support.

Under supervision of engineers and SMEs, you’ll gain practical training, grow toward more design-focused work, project management, and client relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in field or related area.
• Experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations.
• Typically certified in the SMS Framework and progressing through SMS competencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remedial investigations and feasibility studies under supervision.
• Analyze environmental data to identify contamination levels.
• Evaluate and recommend remedial technologies and alternatives.
• Implement groundwater and soil treatment remedies.
• Assist in creating detailed remedial action plans.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
