Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana seeks an Associate Release Administrator in Okemos, MI for a hybrid role supporting deployment and release activities for applications preparing for deployments.

You will maintain release documentation, gather metrics, coordinate environment changes, communicate planned downtimes, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery with quality. On-site when needed, you will collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with one year of coordination or project management experience.
• Experience coordinating technical releases and writing technical documentation preferred.
• Flexible in a fast-paced environment with strong communication to internal/external customers.
• Agile methodology (Scrum or SAFe) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support deployment and release activities for applications preparing for deployments.

Position Description:

To coordinate and support deployment and release activities for applications preparing for deployments to an environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains necessary release and process documentation including cadence and release notes.
• Assists in gathering applicable release metrics.
• Coordinates changes to lower environments due to release, patching or similar activities.
• Provides communication to teams of pending environment downtimes.
• Aids teams with monitoring release progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time, and that they meet or exceed expectations.
• Acts as a point of contact for release activities in progress.
• Includes being on-site (if necessary), managing emails, release bridge lines or applicable chat tools.
• Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information systems, business administration or a related field and one year of experience coordinating team deliverables or project management. Experience coordinating technical releases and writing technical documentation preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Position requires the ability to be flexible in a fast paced and active work environment; good communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers; must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems using independent judgement and have effective communication skills. Agile methodology (Scrum or SAFe is preferred).
