The primary purpose of the University Registrar is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all students’ academic records, admissions, and registration information. Inherent in that function is the responsibility of disseminating information from those records as needed but within compliance guidelines established both by law (such as the Buckley Amendment, FERPA – Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and by university policy.
The primary purpose of the Associate Registrar position at North Carolina Central University is to support the operations of the Office of the Registrar by administering and coordinating academic records, course registration, enrollment, and graduation processes. Under the direction of the University Registrar, the position ensures the accurate and timely maintenance of student academic records and compliance with university policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. The Associate Registrar provides operational oversight and guidance to staff, collaborates with academic and administrative departments, and assists in resolving complex student and academic records issues. The position also contributes to process improvements, system enhancements, and the effective delivery of registrar services to students, faculty, staff, and other University stakeholders.
