Job summary

The Boeing Company in Wichita, KS is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector to join Boeing Global Services Distribution. The role focuses on verifying product conformance, documenting results, and managing non-conforming items on the shop floor.

You will inspect incoming parts and outgoing orders, verify certifications, use precision instruments, and mentor peers in the Inspection team. A color/near vision exam is required, with US Person export controls applying.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints.
• 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparator.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Wichita, KS.

Position Responsibilities:

• Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements

• Provides objective evidence of results

• Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance

• Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.

• Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.

• Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed. Disposition and control of on-conforming products.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years’ related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator.

• 2+ years’ experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints

• Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)

This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam

Export Control Requirements:

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous aerospace inspection experience

• Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
