Job summary

A leading aerospace manufacturer in Wichita, KS, is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector. The role involves verifying product conformance, conducting inspections, and mentoring the inspection team. Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Wichita, KS.

Position Responsibilities
  • Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
  • Provides objective evidence of results
  • Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
  • Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders, verifies that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, and uses micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
  • Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
  • Reviews and disposes all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicates with vendor as needed. Dispositions and controls on-conforming products.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope
  • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
  • Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)

This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous aerospace inspection experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
