Job summary

The Delta County Prosecutor's Office has an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney position available. The selected applicant's responsibilities will primarily focus on trial work in Probate, District and Circuit courts, and include providing legal advice to law enforcement, preparing warrants, drafting motions, conducting legal research, and writing memoranda and appellate briefs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Michigan.
• A valid Michigan driver's license is required.
• Able to pass background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• Primarily perform trial work in Probate, District, and Circuit courts.
• Provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies.
• Prepare search warrants and arrest warrants.
• Draft motions and conduct legal research.
• Write legal memoranda and appellate briefs.
