Job summary

North American Risk Services Inc. is seeking an Associate Auto PD Claims Adjuster to work remotely on a Personal Lines Transportation team. This role requires handling complex auto property damage claims, with duties including loss verification, coverage analysis, and settlement negotiations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of claims experience (or completed NARS trainee), and either holds or can obtain a Florida Adjuster’s license. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; a 2-year degree or higher is preferred.
• 3+ years of prior claim adjusting experience or completion of the NARS Claims Trainee program.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Florida Adjuster’s license or other applicable jurisdictional licensing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current claim metrics and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Handle a caseload commensurate with complexity of claims.
• Establish facts of loss, analyze coverage, investigate, and determine compensability/liability.
• Coordinate medical care when appropriate and manage settlements.
• Identify potential fraud and use of authorized vendors where needed.
• Perform timely reserve analysis and complete required reports.
• Attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters, and assist management.
• Ensure all files comply with state statutes, guidelines, and best practices.
• Travel for mediations or assignments when required.

Job Description:

• Claim metrics must be kept current.
• Handle a case load commensurate with the complexity level of claims assigned.
• Requires establishing facts of loss, coverage analysis, investigation, compensability/liability/negligence determination, coordination of medical care (as appropriate), litigation management, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, identifying potential fraud and appropriate use of authorized vendors.
• Also includes timely and appropriate reserve analysis and report completion.
• Ability to attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters and assist management as requested.
• All file handling must be within state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines and NARS Best Practices.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.

Education / Licensing / Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2-year degree or higher preferred.
