Potelco, Inc. seeks an Associate Project Manager in Sumner, WA, joining a team that handles high-voltage transmission, distribution, and substation work. The role mixes in-office and field duties, coordinating schedules, budgets, staffing, and safety while guiding projects from conception through completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to write business correspondence and communicate effectively.
• Must be willing to travel, short-term.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, and agencies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time to meet deadlines.
• Assist with managing project costs to stay within forecasted budget.
• Confer with supervisors, owners, subcontractors, or engineers to resolve issues.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and clients.
• Plan and direct activities for construction or maintenance of structures.
• Execute corrective actions for delays, bad weather, or emergencies.
• Assist the office manager with AR and AP and various admin tasks.
