Job summary

Gold Group in Bronx, NY seeks an Associate Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The role involves coordinating activities, managing documentation, assisting with budgets and schedules, and maintaining relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. A junior level PM will work alongside seasoned PMs, superintendents and field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
  • 3-6 years of construction industry experience.
  • Proficiency with project controls and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of multiple commercial renovation and interior construction projects throughout New York City.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project execution.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare, review, track, and manage deliverables
  • Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining project budgets and forecasts.
  • Review subcontractor proposals and support procurement activities.
  • Assist in evaluating project risks and proactively communicate issues to Project Managers.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Conduct site visits to review progress, identify potential issues, and support field operations.
  • Maintain accurate project records using Procore and other project management platforms.
  • Support schedule development and tracking using project scheduling software.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, company standards, and safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch list completion, turnover documentation, and warranty administration.

Associate Project Manager, Bronx, NY

$100,000 - $125,000 + Bonus + 401(k), Dental, vision, and health insurance, Paid time off.

NY based commercial contractor is actively looking for a junior level PM, targeting someone with between 2 & 5 years experience.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for a professional looking to grow their construction management career while working alongside experienced project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.

The Associate Project Manager will assist in managing all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through to project closeout.

This role will coordinate project activities, manage documentation, assist with budgeting and scheduling, and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Construction Management such as Procore
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Outbuild, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, change management, cost control, and subcontractor coordination.
