Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, field supervision, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of construction projects, trades, and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and supervise crews across multiple projects and locations.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient with project management and expense-tracking software.
• Hands-on experience as tradesperson is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Walk throughs, scope write-ups, project takeoffs, budgeting and cost estimating.
• Act as project superintendent/foreman managing field operations for multiple jobs of varying size, overseeing staff and subcontractors.
• Train and mentor staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to complete tasks.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed.
• Provide daily reports on job status, labor and material expense tracking, issues/obstacles, with proposed solutions.
• Inspect and review work to guarantee it meets quality, safety and compliance standards.
• Resolve field issues and disputes.
• Communicate at all levels (Clients, Architects/Engineers, Subcontractors, Field Staff, etc.).
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for all facets of project management from client walk through/proposal development through project closeout. The Project Manager shall have direct responsibility for controlling project costs and ensuring profit margin targets are achieved while maintaining quality workmanship and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include scheduling work, assigning tasks, ensuring safety compliance and project quality, monitoring and reporting on project status (including the timely submission of project expenses), and interfacing with clients.

Location: Bronx, NY with projects in NYC and the tri-state area

Salary: Competitive comp based on experience

Employment: Full time

Environment: Medium to small jobs, on-site work at various project locations, including construction zones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a project manager, field supervisor or similar role
• General knowledge of construction projects, trades and techniques
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and to supervise crews spread across multiple projects at multiple locations
• Ability to read blueprints
• Computer/software literate – must be able to learn and utilize current and future software solutions for project management and expense tracking
• Hands on experience as tradesperson, laborer, etc. a plus
