Pinion is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our Land Advisory team in Moweaqua, Illinois. You will deliver large-scale agricultural drainage and conservation projects from concept through completion, collaborating with senior leaders, clients, contractors, landowners, and partners to drive value.

You will develop project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate updates while traveling about 10%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multi-priority coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; ability to travel ~10%.
  • Experience with NRCS, USDA programs, or agricultural conservation initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of agricultural drainage, irrigation, earthmoving, and conservation projects.
  • Develop project plans with Senior Project Managers; monitor progress and risks.
  • Serve as primary contact among clients, contractors, landowners, and conservation partners.
  • Identify challenges and propose practical solutions; elevate issues when appropriate.
  • Utilize project management tools to track action items and report updates to stakeholders.

Deliver Complex Land Improvement Projects

Pinion is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our Land Advisory Team in Moweaqua, Illinois.

In this role, you will deliver large-scale agricultural drainage, irrigation, earthmoving, and conservation projects from concept through completion. Working closely with senior project leaders, clients, contractors, landowners, and conservation partners (TSPs), you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects that improve farm productivity, sustainability, and long-term value. What You'll Be Doing
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of agricultural drainage, irrigation, earthmoving, and conservation projects from concept through completion.
  • Partner with Senior Project Managers to develop project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and keep projects aligned with client objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between clients, contractors, landowners, conservation partners, and internal teams.
  • Prospect, develop, design, and implement agricultural capital improvement projects with NRCS, nonprofit, and private funds.
  • Identify challenges, recommend practical solutions, and elevate issues when appropriate.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, CAD, GIS, and other project management tools to support project delivery and reporting.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
What You'll Need For This Position
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 10%.
Bonus
  • Experience with NRCS, USDA Conservation Programs, or agricultural conservation initiatives.
  • Experience using GPS data, GIS software, and/or CAD systems.
  • Familiarity with agricultural infrastructure, land improvement, or civil engineering projects.
Compensation

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $100,000.
