Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Project Management professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located in Edwards AFB, CA.
As the selected candidate, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, requiring advanced project management tasks from inception to close-out, and continuous management of the system for operational efficiency.
The selected candidate should have knowledge of the following:
Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and Program Management processes and procedures
Industry practices and standards
Job Responsibilities Include:
Leading continuous improvement initiatives
Translating complex business questions into actionable data insights and visualizations to support pivotal decision-making
This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of products through our advanced flight test facilities. This position is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA. Due to the dynamic environment of flight test, occasional overtime and off-shift work (nights/weekends) may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 0 years of project management or related industry experience OR a high school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Skilled in Microsoft Project (scheduling), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), and Microsoft PowerPoint
Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualization
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Aerospace manufacturing background
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS) concepts
Control Account Management (CAM) experience
SAP Experience
Presentation skills & project execution
Experience interfacing with multi-level employees and leadership
Salary Range: $61,200 - $91,800
