Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to support metering projects from initiation to completion. You will work with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

The role requires 1–3 years of engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree, and knowledge of meters, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. On-site work with a collaborative team and growing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related field).
• 1–3 years of engineering or project experience (entry-level candidates may also be considered).
• Basic understanding of electrical, flow and BTU meters.
• Basic understanding of project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing new metering system projects.
• Support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Prepare Project Request Forms (PRF) and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues.
• Perform field inspections and site visits to verify installation progress.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
• Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting metering systems.
• Prepare project documentation and progress reports.
• Participate in project meetings with the project manager and project engineer.
• Assist in resolving technical problems during project execution.
