Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI San Diego 571 operations based in San Diego, CA. This safety-sensitive role offers hands-on experience in project management and estimating, with a clear path to leadership within the employee-owned organization.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch lists, QA/QC support, RFIs/submittals, labor control, takeoffs, scheduling support, warranties, and material coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in construction-related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure with deadlines.
• Motivated self-starter with initiative and good work ethic.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the QA/QC program requirements
• Preparing RFIs and submittals
• Labor control on projects; setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting job schedule implementation
• Coordinating warranties and O&M activities
