Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
• Meets the requirements to be an Archaeological Principal Investigator in North Dakota.
• Experience with the archaeology of the Midwest.
• Minimum of three (3) years of CRM experience on various project types and agencies.
• Minimum of one (1) year managing all aspects of archaeological projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers on budgeting, scheduling, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Conduct background research for archaeological studies, including records searches.
• Ensure preliminary research is organized prior to fieldwork and resources are ready.
• Coordinate with agency personnel, subconsultants, and monitors to arrange fieldwork.
• Supervise fieldwork including survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
• Communicate with project managers to meet budgets and timelines.
• Take initiative and develop improved procedures for efficiency.
• Maintain high scientific ethics and quality assurance.
• Develop safety plans and address potential hazards.
