Working under the direction of the Lab Director, this position coordinates laboratory operations, maintains project records, assists with project planning and implementation, supports student research teams, and serves as a liaison with William & Mary offices as needed. The APM helps identify operational challenges, recommends process improvements, contributes to literature reviews and background research, assists with budget tracking, and performs quality assurance activities to support the lab's research mission. The Nutritional Epidemiology and Food System Analytics (NEFSA) lab conducts research to understand the relationship between nutrition, health, and sustainability. NEFSA researchers combine methods from nutrition science, agricultural science, economics, and data science to answer these questions using computational tools. We receive generous support from diverse funding partners, including the National Institutes of Health, Department of Agriculture, Jeffress Trust Awards Program in Research Advancing Health Equity, and multiple industry partners. This work is designed to inform multiple stakeholders, including clinicians, public health practitioners, scientists, journalists, and policy makers. NEFSA is housed within the Department of Health Sciences at William & Mary (W&M), which is the oldest public university in the US (established 1693), and is consistently ranked as one of the top ten public universities in the United States.
