We have optimal solutions for biological research, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, agriculture, manufacturing, or other industrial applications.SummaryThe Associate Program Manager is a PMO enablement role within the Project Management Office (PMO) in the Global Product Strategy department. The role combines direct leadership of cross-functional projects with responsibility for strengthening portfolio-wide execution. Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to leading assigned projects, while 50% supports PMO activities, with particular focus on cross-project resource alignment, internal communication, and consistent application of PMO standards and practices. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the successful delivery of assigned strategic initiatives while improving PMO effectiveness through proactive resource alignment across projects, internal communication, and scalable ways of working.Reporting RelationshipsReports to the Head of Project Management Office.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject & Program Delivery (50%)Lead assigned strategic, cross-functional projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and intended business outcomes.Define scope, governance, delivery plans, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication approaches.Facilitate timely decision-making, monitor delivery performance, and ensure clear accountability for actions, decisions, and outcomes.Apply PMO standards, methodologies, tools, and reporting practices to ensure disciplined and transparent execution.Serve as the central point of contact for assigned projects, actively managing stakeholder expectations, cross-functional dependencies, and escalations.PMO Enablement, Resource Alignment, and Communication (50%)Coordinate cross-project resource planning with project managers and functional leaders, identifying capacity constraints, competing priorities, critical dependencies, and potential delivery risks.Prepare and facilitate portfolio-level resource alignment discussions, making trade-offs and escalation needs transparent to support timely leadership decisions.Develop and deliver project management training, onboarding, coaching, and guidance for non-dedicated project managers, and communicate PMO activities to internal stakeholders.Promote consistent use of PMO governance, tools, templates, and reporting practices, and improve them based on user feedback and evolving organizational needs.Other duties as assigned.Maintain regular and reliable attendance.Uphold and adhere to the Tosoh Bioscience culture and guiding principles.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.PMP certification or equivalent formal project management education; program or portfolio management training is an advantage.Minimum 3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects, including experience coordinating resources, priorities, or dependencies across multiple projects in a scientific, technical, or regulated environment.Skills and QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing complex projects and programs, including governance, planning, scope management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives.Strong ability to develop a portfolio-wide view of priorities, resources, and dependencies, enabling transparent prioritization and effective allocation of organizational capacity.Willingness to mentor, guide, train, and provide constructive feedback to others in a thoughtful manner.Proven ability in continuous improvement and workflow optimization.Strong facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities, gain stakeholder commitment, and drive resolution of complex issues.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.Able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Familiarity with cGMP processes, procedures, and requirements.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands of this job are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
