Job summary

National Ability Center in Park City, Utah seeks an Associate Program Director to lead program teams across departments, shape adaptive recreation, and advance the mission. This full-time, year-round role requires weekend and after-hours work and is on-site only.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, drive outcomes, and partner with external organizations to grow impact while maintaining NAC values and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of management with increasing responsibilities in adaptive recreation and/or outdoor program management and training, including at least two years supervisory.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise 4-6 program departments as assigned by the Chief Programming and Education Officer.
  • Hire, train, mentor and evaluate Program Managers; support recruitment and onboarding.
  • Develop department goals, allocate resources, provide coaching, and drive professional development.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and mission impact using data analysis and feedback.
  • Oversee department budgets and assist with grant reporting as applicable.
  • Develop outreach strategies to increase program visibility and impact with Marketing.
