About The Job

The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota invites applications for an Associate Professor position from candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent in biomedical engineering, electrical & computer engineering, neuroscience, or related fields. Experience with imaging biomarker development and analysis in ALS or Parkinson’s Disease is required. The successful applicant will collaborate with the Neuromuscular Medicine Division on clinical and translational research. Responsibilities include supervising research teams, securing extramural funding, publishing, teaching, and service activities.

Job Duties include:

  1. Conducting and leading imaging biomarker research.
  2. Originating research ideas for grant applications.
  3. Securing research funding (e.g., NIH).
  4. Leading imaging data analysis.
  5. Publishing research findings.
  6. Mentoring students, fellows, and staff.

Qualifications:
