Position: Associate Production Scientist

Report to: Production Manager, Integrated DNA Chip

Role Description

We seek a dedicated associate scientist to join our cross-disciplinary team, supporting advanced oligonucleotide synthesis technologies. The role involves routine and investigatory laboratory activities, inventory management, and process optimization. Knowledge of oligonucleotide synthesis chemistry, hybridization assays, PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing is desirable; training will be provided. The position's level depends on the candidate's qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform array-based oligonucleotide synthesis on GenScript's CMOS platform.
• Conduct QC operations, including PCR and hybridization assays.
• Manage pre- and post-synthesis operations.
• Maintain SOPs and production records.
• Perform routine lab maintenance.
• Contribute to process improvements.
• Manage critical inventory and production schedules.
• Ensure records comply with ISO9001 and QMS standards.
• Support expansion of our technological scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biology or Chemistry with 2 years of experience; Master's preferred.
• Knowledge of oligonucleotide synthesis.
• Experience with surface chemistry and electrochemistry is a plus.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, hybridization assays, and NGS.
• Familiarity with vacuum instrumentation and surface coating/modification techniques is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, interdisciplinary team.
