Job description

The Disney Entertainment segment includes the company’s full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including streaming. The Digital Center of Excellence Production Team is responsible for ideating, developing, and executing digital, social content, and creative assets for the Studio brands and titles to support the wider Disney Entertainment Digital Marketing Team. Consisting of a unit of designers, editors, and producers, with full-service development-to-distribution capabilities, the team serves as a one-stop internal creative agency to address the marketing needs of a rapidly evolving consumer base.

Role Overview: Associate Producer & Editor

The Assoc Preditor (Producer + Editor) is a highly versatile and skilled storyteller responsible for overseeing the entire video production process from ideation to final delivery. This hybrid role demands a professional who thrives in both creative production—articulating a clear vision for supporting team members—and in post-production—seamlessly blending technical expertise with innovative storytelling.

This role is ideal for a multifaceted content creator who excels in both editorial and production environments, ensuring the successful execution of a wide variety of digital-first projects across The Walt Disney Company’s brands. The Assoc Preditor will be hands-on in editing, leading creative production teams, and executing on-set production tasks.

As part of the DCOEP team, this role requires collaboration with producers, designers, motion graphics artists, marketing teams, and external stakeholders to create high-quality digital content for on-demand video platforms, social media, and more. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a fast-paced problem solver, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Beyond technical execution, the Assoc Preditor will shape brand narratives, adapt to platform trends, and push the boundaries of digital storytelling. A deep understanding of TWDC’s IPs, brands, and audience expectations is critical. If you are passionate about production, editing, and innovation, this position offers the opportunity to create industry-leading content for a globally iconic entertainment brand.

Additional Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Develop creative solutions to execute video projects efficiently within timelines.
  • Lead post-production workflows, ensuring seamless integration of visual and audio elements.
  • Edit videos in 16:9 and 9:16 formats, incorporating various footage, music, sound effects, and graphics.
  • Create basic motion graphics such as lower thirds, on-screen text, and emojis using templates and assets.
  • Edit on-site or remotely for events, delivering quick-turn assets.
  • Maintain consistency across multiple brand identities while adapting storytelling styles.
  • Be adaptable to rapid creative changes and stakeholder feedback.
  • Use editorial judgment to align content with brand and audience expectations.
  • Utilize data insights to optimize content performance.
  • Make editorial and project management decisions.
  • Provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure best practices for content distribution across platforms.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new media technologies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative leads on messaging and branding.
  • Oversee quality control of final outputs, ensuring standards compliance.
  • Assist in asset management and media organization.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in video production, editing, and digital content creation.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop).

  • Experience directing and producing content, including working with talent.
  • Knowledge of social and digital marketing specs and formats.
  • Technical skills in media ingest, color correction, keying, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
