Job summary

Associated Bank is recruiting for a Commercial Banking role in the Omaha area. The position focuses on managing a portfolio of commercial banking relationships—supporting credit decisions, monitoring risk, and strengthening client ties with Relationship Managers and internal partners to grow loans, deposits, and fee income while expanding commercial banking expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Less than 2 years of experience in Commercial/Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Specialized Banking, or Credit Approval.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive, if applicable, by the start date.
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification by the start date.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information and loan requests to assess credit quality and recommend appropriate structures.
• Manage portfolio risk and ensure relationships follow bank policies, procedures, business strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor borrower financial performance, loan repayment activity, renewals, and overall credit quality.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to serve clients, support new business opportunities, and strengthen existing relationships.
• Coordinate due diligence and credit analysis for new relationships and prepare materials for the loan approval process.
• Identify opportunities to connect clients with Treasury Management, Private Banking, Capital Markets, and other bank solutions.
• Support collection efforts and take appropriate action when accounts become past due or repayment concerns arise.
• Represent Associated Bank in community and business activities that strengthen its presence in the local market.
