Associate Planner (Planner) - Current Planning

$73,257.39/yr - $109,886.19/yr

Job Responsibilities
  • Review development proposals and entitlement applications
  • Manage small to mid-sized development projects
  • Ensure compliance with zoning and land use policies
  • Prepare staff reports and present to boards, commissions, and City Council
  • Perform plan reviews, issue permits, assist customers
  • Prepare environmental assessments per CEQA
  • Respond to public inquiries
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
  • Support planning projects and maintain tracking systems
  • Collaborate with community members, developers, and stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Economics, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or related field
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License and good driving record
  • 2+ years of professional planning experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in customer service at a planning counter
  • Processing entitlement applications and preparing staff reports
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in project management and professional development
