Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Biology, Environmental Planning, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in professional level planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct journey level research and prepare detailed staff reports and recommendations.
• Advise elected and appointed officials on planning and policy issues.
• Prepare and present reports to advisory groups, committees, and community groups.
• Coordinate open houses, workshops, and stakeholder groups.
• Respond to public inquiries about planning processes and policy issues.
• Review proposed amendments to the County's Comprehensive Plan and subarea plans.
