Job summary

Corient Services LLC in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to support family office clients with day‑to‑day bookkeeping, A/P processing, vendor management, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and collaboration within a tight team to maintain client records and deliver timely information.

You will work on Intacct/Bill.com workflows, handle 1099s where needed, and contribute to process improvements while staying compliant with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience focusing on A/P, journal entries, bank reconciliations and data entry.
  • Proficient in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or QuickBooks Online or similar systems.
  • Strong data entry speed and accuracy.
  • Independent worker with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate well and build relationships within teams.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and proactive.
  • Family office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Vendor maintenance – creating and modifying existing vendors, managing W‑9 and NDA forms process with new vendors, and ad hoc communications with vendors.
  • Recording vendor invoices in the accounts payable module of Intacct or within Bill.com and submitting for review.
  • Completing vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients.
  • Processing Form 1099s annually, where applicable.
  • Recording journal entries for cash transfers, payroll, accruals, asset purchases and capital improvements, as well as specific accounting related to clients' personal assets.
  • Reconciliations of bank statements, brokerage statements and credit card statements, including transaction feeds into our accounting systems.
  • Meticulous maintenance of client files/records in shared network folders.
  • Responding promptly to client requests.
  • Familiarity with financial statements.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Pay Information

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of California. The pay range for this position is $76,000–$114,000 USD per year.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible. This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. This position is required to work onsite four days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Exceptions to these requirements may be determined based on a shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization and participates in E‑Verify. Must be willing to execute Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non‑Disclosure Agreement, which require post‑employment obligations relating to non‑solicitation, confidentiality, and non‑disclosure.
