Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking an ophthalmic assistant to perform preliminary screening exams and support the physician with procedures. You will collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from patients or caregivers and relay this information to the doctor.

High school diploma preferred; training provided. Prior health care experience in ophthalmology or optical offices is a plus, and Basic Life Support certification is required.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient. Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicate this data to the doctor. Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient. Qualifications

High School graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills.

Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred. Basic Life Support Certification required.
