Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy in the United States seeks an Associate OCC Operator to support safe, reliable operation of our wind, solar, and storage fleet from the 24/7 Operations Control Center. Qualifications

• 0–2 years of operational, utility, power plant, renewable energy, control room, military, industrial, or other safety-critical experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to satisfy background checks.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and other computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wind, solar, and energy storage facilities and report abnormal conditions.
• Operate within equipment ratings, interconnection requirements, and approved procedures.
• Receive and carry out operating instructions from authorized entities.
• Communicate plant conditions, outages, grid events, and emergencies.
• Support site personnel during performance issues and restoration efforts.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, notifications, and shift turnover info.
• Follow NERC, ISO/RTO, and safety requirements under supervision.
• Maintain training and certification requirements and pursue PJM Generation Operator certification within six months.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, operations, business, or related field
