Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking an entry-level Associate ROCC Operator to monitor and control renewable assets within the Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC). This role blends restoration technician foundations with engineering operator tasks to address real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and asset restoration.

You will gain hands-on experience with SCADA systems, alarms, and coordination with field teams, supported by a clear career path through skill development,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field preferred
• Experience: 0-2 years in power generation, renewable energy, or related field
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Monitor renewable generation assets using SCADA and other control platforms
• Respond to alarms to maintain system reliability and compliance
• Execute restoration procedures after outages or abnormal conditions
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving operational issues under guidance from senior operators
• Maintain logs of operational activities and restoration events
• Coordinate with field technicians, engineering teams, and market operations
