Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager for Heart and Vascular Care at University Hospital - Rhodes Hall to support 24/7 operations. You will work under the Nurse Manager to guide patient care teams and ensure high-quality outcomes within the Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with a MSN or related field preferred, an Ohio RN license, and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required.
• Master's in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license is required.
• Two to three years of clinical experience in patient care setting are required.
• Certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise is required or must be achieved within eligibility timeline.
• Prior demonstration of leadership skills and related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations for a designated area on a 24-hour basis.
• Assist in managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of patient care staff under the Nurse Manager.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments/areas related to patient care operations and services.
