Duties and Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in labor and employment litigation and class-action matters.
- Manage pleadings, discovery, motion practice and other aspects of case development.
- Draft position statements, discovery responses, motions and substantive legal documents.
- Participate in workplace investigations, client interviews and evidence gathering.
- Advise and communicate directly with clients on sensitive workplace matters.
- Collaborate with partners on case strategy, risk assessment and resolution.
- Attend on-site investigations and occasional out-of-town fieldwork when required.
Core Requirements:
- Active admission to the Florida Bar.
- At least three years of labor and employment litigation experience preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing and advocacy skills.
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience drafting substantive litigation filings and discovery materials.
- Prior experience with a labor and employment-focused firm is preferred.
