Job summary

Walmart’s Vitamins & Supplements team in Bentonville, AR seeks an Associate Merchant to support category management by negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate product setup for stores and online channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
• Experience in retail or e-commerce supplier negotiations preferred.
• Strong vendor relationship management and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders within assigned categories.
• Assist merchants in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.

The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management by facilitating supplier negotiations, managing purchase orders, and resolving supplier-related issues to ensure accurate product setup for stores and online channels. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute customer communication programs, optimize search results, and implement merchandising strategies. Utilizing data analysis and forecasting, the Associate Merchant contributes to category financial planning and promotional activities. The position requires strong vendor relationship management and strategic decision-making to enhance customer experience and drive business results within Walmart’s retail environment.

The Vitamins & Supplements team is dedicated to making wellness accessible and easy to shop for Walmart customers. Managing a fast-growing business across stores and online, the team focuses on everyday essentials, emerging trends, and innovative brands. They identify new opportunities, build strong supplier partnerships, and collaborate cross-functionally to shape the future of wellness at Walmart. The team leverages skills in vendor relationship management, negotiation, category strategy, supplier management, data analysis, and e-commerce management to deliver value and enhance the customer experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
