Job summary

Biogen, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, is seeking an Associate Medical Director for Rare Disease focused on SMA and ALS to support the US Medical Strategy.

This role is hybrid, based in Cambridge, and reports to the Medical Director. You will collaborate with US Field Medical, Global Medical, Clinical Development, and commercial teams to ensure medical activities align with global strategy and address US insights and needs.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD required or equivalent.
• 3+ years pharma industry experience; HQ Medical Affairs or Field Medical preferred.
• Experience with Rare Disease or clinical practice in Rare Disease acceptable.
• Strong understanding of US medical regulations related to Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to US medical strategy and tactics for Rare Disease, SMA & ALS assets and programs.
• Serve as US Medical contact for cross-functional partners (Field Medical, Global Medical, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial).
• Collaborate with global/regional/affiliate medical to align activities with global strategy.
• Provide insights to local commercial teams to align medical and business plans.
• Organize and facilitate Advisory Board meetings and contribute to congress deliverables and data-generation initiatives.
