Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center invites applications for a full-time Associate Medical Director to oversee the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory. The role includes assisting in lab management, QA, SOP revisions, regulatory compliance, and design of validation studies.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist or immunologist with histocompatibility expertise.
• Experience in histocompatibility testing, transplant immunology and immunogenetics.
• Eligible for or certified as HLA Laboratory Director (ACHI).

Responsibilities

• Assist Medical Director in overall management of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics laboratory.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance and regulatory/ accreditation compliance.
• Supervise and train staff, residents, and fellows; participate in clinical/translational research.
