Job summary

Providence Medical Foundation is seeking an Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) to support basic patient care under a licensed practitioner's delegation. The role combines administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient experience.

The ideal candidate graduates from an accredited MA program or an MA apprenticeship and has hands-on clinical training. Prior clinic MA work and familiarity with EHR systems are preferred, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed Practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or,


• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or,


• Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.


• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


• Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.


• 6 months experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
