Job summary

The Providence Medical Foundation is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA II) to support licensed practitioners and assist in patient care across our clinic in Hesperia, CA. You will perform advanced MA duties, uphold safety standards, and follow established policies to ensure accurate, compassionate care for assigned patients.

Ideal candidates have MA program training or MA apprenticeship, BLS within 30 days, and at least 6 months of healthcare and MA experience, including vital signs, injections,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Graduate of a registered MA apprenticeship program.
• Two years of medical training in US Armed Forces or at least 1 year MA experience with clinical skills (vital signs, injections, medication administration).
• BLS certification through American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience.
• Minimum 6 months of MA experience.

Job description

The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant (MA II)performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An Medical Assistant (MA II) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
• Coursework/Training: Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Minimum oneyear of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months of Healthcare experience
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Preferred qualifications:

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
