Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Puerto Rico is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer or Associate Quality Engineer to join our pipeline for 2026–2027. This role supports manufacturing operations and collaborates with Supervisors, Engineers and Operators to drive improvements.

The ideal candidate will have cross-functional communication skills in English and Spanish, knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems, and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of US and non-US regulations; fundamentals of Manufacturing/Process Engineering.
• Ability to cross-functionally communicate to resolve Quality/Engineering issues.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations as an engineering resource.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to quality, safety, compliance, productivity and process performance.
• Serve as engineering representation within the manufacturing environment.
