Job summary

Stryker in Flower Mound, TX is seeking an Associate Manager, NPD Sourcing to lead strategic sourcing for new product development from concept through commercialization. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience.
  • Proven experience leading supplier contract negotiations and sourcing strategies for complex products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing strategy for NPD/NPI initiatives aligned with business and commercialization goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for new technologies and processes, balancing cost and risk.
  • Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, sourcing awards, contracts, and development agreements.
  • Develop supplier strategies to support product launches, margin expansion and supply continuity.
  • Analyze cost drivers and market dynamics to inform sourcing decisions and negotiation tactics.
  • Drive supplier performance throughout the product development lifecycle and transition to sustaining operations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Marketing to align sourcing with project timelines and financial objectives.
  • Track costs, identify value creation opportunities, and drive cost reduction without compromising quality.

What You Will Do

The Associate Manager, NPD Sourcing serves as the strategic sourcing leader for new product development programs, partnering with Marketing, R&D, Operations, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to bring innovative products from concept through commercialization. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that enable successful product launches, mitigate risk, optimize cost, and create long-term business value. This is a hybrid role based in Flower Mound, TX, requiring on-site presence two days per week, with flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week.

  • Lead sourcing strategy for new product development and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, ensuring alignment with business, operational, and commercialization objectives.

What you need:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supplier contract negotiations and sourcing strategies for complex products or programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in medical devices or other highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, life sciences).
  • SAP experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting new product development and commercialization in a global supply chain environment.
United States of America Pay Ranges:
US10: $98,200 - $163,700 USD Annual
