Job summary

Stryker seeks a Senior Manager, Sourcing (Hybrid) in San Jose, CA to lead strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned commodities and optimize supplier performance across NPI programs.

You will partner with R&D, operations, quality, and finance to drive supplier capabilities, cost management, and value realization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field.
  • 10 years in supply management with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development; preferably in medical devices or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base.
  • Strong negotiations skills negotiating and implementing commercial contracts to include: supply and quality agreements (QAA).
  • Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems.
  • Must be willing to work in a result based, fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.
  • Travel: 20-30% to include international.

Responsibilities

  • Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as required and advises others on selection/cost analysis.
  • Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
  • Partners and develop relationships with senior executive leadership at strategic suppliers
  • Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.
  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.
  • Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changes
  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and campuses to develop sourcing strategies and key supplier scorecards and business reviews
  • Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews

You will develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategies, and spend/supply assessments taking into account total product life cycle needs.

Required Qualifications

US30: $176,300 - $293,700 USD Annual
